At Solid Earth we have our Rituals. Some of these rituals are deeply entrenched in our culture, while others are still on their way to that deep place of the daily thoughts and doings around the office. These rituals come in many forms and each person has their approach to the ritual, which makes it special. One ritual is our morning coffee pilgrimage. Every week , Tuesday through Friday you will find a crowd of people exiting the buildnig at 9AM. They walk along the southside of Clinton Ave and cross together often times not even looking for traffic or to verify the sign says “Walk”. We congregate within the Kaffeeklatch and discuss the morning’s happenings, the previous days woes or the upcoming demos of Spring.
We have other rituals which define and are transforming our culture. Here are a few of them:
- Demo Day – Every other Tuesday Everyone is invited to a demo of the progress on Spring. Ideas, critiques and questions are encouraged.
- Demo Day Doughnuts – One requirement for Demo Day is to have Hot Krispy Kremes on site.
- Office Helicopters – pure fun and stress relief.
