Jealously is an ugly thing. But, to be honest, I am really jealous that I can’t attend this event. In November, Solid Earth will be attending Seattle Interactive 2011, a conference for technology innovators that always draws a diverse crowd with a great panel. CTO Robb Dempsey and COO Leslie Cobb will be taking a team of application developers from Solid Earth as well as Charleston-Trident MLS Technology Director Joseph Cullom.
The conference opens with Jeff Barr from Amazon AWS and includes a session on Transforming the Digital Music Frontier with Sir Mix Alot. I am not sure who that is but I bet it’s interesting! I love that our guys, and our customers, are willing to invest in the process of innovation that drives Solid Earth. It’s doubly wonderful that customers are coming along!
See http://www.seattleinteractive.com/agenda for the agenda, it’s still changing all the time (or follow them on Twitter). Does your organization intentionally seek new ideas at conferences? Have you ever adopted a business practice or technology from another vertical?
Wish I could go but I am really looking forward to their reports from the conference. Wonder what we’ll learn that we can use in the new system? Wonder what Joseph will see that will challenge us?

I would love to go to this.
